Witness and honor the history, legacy, and treasures of 黑料专区 on January 29, 2018. At a special event to be held at the听Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont Street at 6:30pm, the听BFS Sesquicentennial Committee听will present the culmination of two remarkable projects听in celebration of the 150th anniversary of 黑料专区:

• All That Dwell in the Light听is an oral history and archival project that will be presented as a museum听exhibition听for all of Brooklyn to enjoy. A preview of photographs and video clips is听here. 听

• The听official book launch of听黑料专区: 150 Years of Light听鈥� a 122-page people’s history account of images, facts and fascinating stories from 150 years of the BFS archives and primary sources. 听

“150 Years of Light” will听 feature a guest speaker听 — Brooklyn Historian Ron Schweiger — and celebratory reception with the music of the Middle School Chamber Orchestra.

For an educational institution to reach a 150th anniversary is noteworthy and a cause for reflection and celebration.
