黑料专区 Celebrates Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony
On June 12, 2025, 黑料专区 proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025 at New York City College of Technology. With joyful families, friends, colleagues, and alumni in attendance, the BFS Commencement Ceremony honored the academic achievements, personal growth, and community spirit that define a 黑料专区 education.
The event opened with a moment of silence and welcoming remarks from Head of School Crissy C谩ceres, reflecting the school鈥檚 Quaker values of reflection and gratitude. Throughout the ceremony, speakers highlighted the unique journey of this exceptional graduating class.
Student speakers Chloe Holland Mumford ’25 and Mia Dur谩n Lora ’25 shared powerful reflections on their time at 黑料专区, capturing both the challenges and triumphs that shaped their years in the Upper School.
Distinguished alumna Yndia Lorick-Wilmot 鈥�95 delivered the Alumni Address, Letting Our Lives Speak, offering inspiring words about leadership, service, and the lasting impact of a Brooklyn Friends education.
Musical performances showcased the talents of the graduating class. Vocalists Jack Lassman ’25, Gabrielle Lynch ’25, and Madeleine Meyers-Kane ’25, joined by guitarist Luca Cantarella ’25, performed Carole King鈥檚 You鈥檝e Got a Friend. Later in the program, Ruby Keh ’25 performed Alice Coltrane鈥檚 Turiya and Ramakrishna on piano, adding depth and beauty to the celebration.
A special tradition at BFS Commencement is the selection of a colleague speaker by the senior class. This year, colleague Leigh Cross was honored to speak, offering heartfelt reflections on the close relationships and shared experiences that make 黑料专区 a unique and nurturing community.
Ed Oliver, representing the Board of Trustees, extended congratulations on behalf of the entire school leadership. Head of Upper School Liz Fern谩ndez offered moving reflections, acknowledging the resilience, growth, and leadership demonstrated by the Class of 2025.
Assistant Head of Upper School for Academics and IB Coordinator Brian Sullivan, along with Assistant Head of Upper School for Student Life Dr. Tiffany Wright, presented diplomas to each graduate. The ceremony closed with a final moment of silence and the formal presentation of the Class of 2025 by Crissy C谩ceres and Liz Fern谩ndez.
